Modelling an entire business process from end to end in a high-energy, hands-on workshop
A Value Stream Map (VSM) models a business process from end to end, identifying where the work happens and where work items get blocked: hand-offs, coordination points, upstream and downstream dependencies, scheduling delays.
We use a fun and interactive exercise called Event Storming, modelling the entire value stream using sticky notes, which ensures that ’everybody knows what everybody knows’. This makes the value stream visible and identifying opportunities to improve it.
We assume no prior experience in Value Stream Mapping or Event Storming. This is an experiential, learning-by-doing workshop where attendees will generate actionable work items in the session that they can take with them.
